COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Mat Kearney will be the first to tell you writing a hit song isn't easy. But sometimes there are moments when a song just writes itself.

Be sure to tune in to the 6 p.m. broadcast of KARE-11 news tonight. They are scheduled to run a story about acoustic musician Mat Kearney's "Bennie and Johnnie" song he wrote and recorded after visiting our campus for 12 Pines a few weeks ago.

2008 graduate Joe Mailander was featured in the Minneapolis Star Tribune today. As one half of the Okee Dokee Brothers he paddled down the Mississippi River last summer and wrote music for a new CD/DVD combo "Can You Canoe?" http://www.startribune.com/entertainment/dining/151895345.html
